August Virtue: Harmlessness

To be harmless means to live a life which will not cause harm to any living form, in the way you choose your speech, actions, feelings and thoughts. This will free you from fear, help you to be courageous, express your inner beauty and goodness, and inspire you to express higher creative ideas and impressions from nature.

Each day you need to express harmlessness to your physical body with its cells who serve you daily with love and compassion. You need to be harmless with your family, business clients, friends and keep striving to be harmless to your community, nation, humanity, and to all kingdoms on our planet.

The following is a gentle meditation exercise to be practiced for thirty minutes once or twice a week. The selected classical music corresponds to the selected virtue of the month. Consult and receive permission from your doctor or spiritual teacher before doing this exercise.

Spiritual Healing Meditation through Classical Music
Virtue - Harmlessness
Classical Music - Leonore III Overture - Beethoven
Taccata and Fugue in D Minor - Bach

  1. Dim the lights, silence any other source of sounds. Sit in a comfortable chair and relax your physical body.
  2. Calm your emotions and detach from any feelings or thoughts. Detach from your environment and take three deep breaths.
  3. Let go of your fears, worries, judgments, anger, irritations and anxieties.
  4. Play the classical music in the order listed above not more than twenty five minutes. Continue to breath normally. Concentrate on the notes and the rhythm of the music. Do not fall asleep.
  5. During your meditation, visualize the frequency and vibration of the music as a radiant energy of unconditional love and compassion, gently moving from your head, down your neck, and through out your nerve system and from the heart through the blood system. Visualize this radiant energy flooding your cells and atoms with healing energy, purifying your etheric, emotional and mental bodies from stress and illnesses. Release this energy and heal with it your family, community, nation, all humanity and all kingdoms in nature.
  6. After the music stops, take three deep breaths, keep your eyes closed and stay calm and serene in your chair. For seven minutes focus and visualize the selected virtue - harmlessness. Visualize how you are going to feel, think and practice harmlessness to your self, your family, group, community, nation, other nations, humanity and all kingdoms. Visualize the people you have harmed and change this by using harmlessness as your shield.
  7. Gently rub your hands and face and open your eyes. Stay in your chair for one minute, then slowly move from your chair.
